Our local school outreach program connects schoolchildren to the wonders of science and nature through hands-on activities in our “outdoor laboratory.” Our school program welcomes nearly 700 students a year, from 10 schools in Bocas del Toro and the surrounding region. Our researchers participate in the program, sharing their expertise and enthusiasm with the students.
All school field trips must be booked in advance. School visits to the station are scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. To reserve a school visit, sign up for tours, or find out more about our annual events, please contact us.
