Zoology

Zoologists at STRI work on a very broad range of topics, most of which fit into the following categories: animal behavior (e.g. sexual selection in frogs, communication among bats and the effects of seasonality on bird behavior), taxonomy (fish, birds, amphibians), ecology, physiology, evolution and development, conservation biology, disease ecology and zooarchaeology. There is considerable overlap among themes and staff often are involved in projects that transcend any single category.
