Proyecto de Rescate y conservación de Anfibios de Panamá

The Panama Amphibian Rescue and Conservation Project was created in 2009 as a partnership between Zoo New England, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Houston Zoo, Smithsonian National Zoo and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute to rescue and establish sustainable populations of amphibian species found in in danger of extinction throughout Panama. Efforts and experience are also focused on the development of methodologies to reduce the impact of the chytrid fungus and carry out reintroduction tests to nature.
