From the series of SCIENCE STORIES TO READ AND DO
With the support of SENACYT and "Educators Connecting Research to the K-16 Classroom," four stories based on the Smithsonian's tropical studies were created primarily for students and educators in grades 3-6th grade. One of these stories is Crandall, the curious crab, based on research by the violinist crab from Dr. John Christy, an emeritus scientist at the Smithsonian Institution.
To satisfy his curiosity, Crandall sets out on an adventure full of surprises, finds, and friends. His curiosity leads him to unusual adventures and to face obstacles and open to meet new frontiers.
