Boat Schedule
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays
The boat leaves the STRI dock in Gamboa for Barro Colorado Island at 7:15 a.m. Please arrive at the dock half an hour before departure.
The boat leaves the Barro Colorado Island dock 3:40 p.m. and arrives at the STRI dock in Gamboa at 4:05 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays
The boat leaves the STRI dock in Gamboa for Barro Colorado Island at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive at the dock half an hour before departure.
The boat leaves the Barro Colorado Island dock 3:30 p.m. and arrives at the STRI dock in Gamboa at 4:05 p.m.
You will be notified of any changes to this schedule by the Public Programs office.
It is extremely important to be on time to catch the boat. STRI boats always depart on schedule. If you miss the boat, you miss your visit.
Visitors must wait for their STRI guide inside the waiting room at the dock before boarding the boat. No public visits to Barro Colorado on Mondays, Thursdays or certain Panamanian holidays.
