Mucho Más Que Un Puente Terrestre

"From the archaeological point of view, the current Panamanian territory has a particular importance due to its position as a land bridge between North and South America, a circumstance that facilitated the genetic, agricultural and technological dispersion of human beings throughout the American territory. However, the narrow Panamanian isthmus allowed the human colonization of the South American continent from very early on, from the Pleistocene immigrations, the human presence in some regions of Panama was continuous, and certain local and regional aspects of the ecology and social organization, exerted sensitive influences on the historical trajectory of the pre-Hispanic peoples of the Isthmus-Colombian region to the present day."
