STRI Announcement
Reinstated mobility restrictions as of Monday, June 8th
Dear STRI Community, Visitors and Contractors,
Through Communiqué # 103 dated June 6, 2020, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) reported that as of Monday, June 8, mobility restriction measures will be reinstated per prior schedule, by sex and ID number, in the provinces of Panama and West Panama.
Also, per Communiqué # 27 dated June 6, 2020, the opening of the companies in blocks one and two remains in effect, as do the “salvoconductos” (special transit permits) of their critical staff under the conditions described in this statement. It is our understanding that STRI collaborators who have “salvoconductos” due to the critical nature of their functions, must carry them while this new measure remains in effect. Likewise, this information is being confirmed with the corresponding authorities and updates will be communicated through a STRI Announcement.
MINSA reiterated that curfew hours in Panamá and West Panamá remain in effect from Saturday at 5:00 pm until Monday, June 8 at 5:00 am.
Due to the change in the mobility restriction measures, the use of safe conducts will be necessary in the provinces of Panama and western Panama. Companies in blocks 1 and 2 that do not have their validation can do so by entering https://validacion.salvoconductos.mici.gob.pa/register
Companies that already had their passes with the validation platform should not issue new ones.
