We report in a responsible and transparent manner, the death of two more people as a result of COVID-19, through Sunday, March 22.
The deaths were reported to the MINSA epidemiological system, after the Gorgas Memorial Institute carried out rigorous examinations and it was determined that the deaths were the result of respiratory complications due to COVID-19.
According to the official report, the 92-year-old man was at the Nelson Collado Hospital in Herrera, and the other death was that of a 13-year-old girl at the Social Security Pediatric Specialties Hospital, a case mentioned in press conference and later confirmed.
For the National Government, each life is important. Faced with these new deaths, we reiterate the call for cooperation. Only with the collaboration of all and complying with the indications, can we contain the spread of COVID-19 contagion.
The Ministry of Health and the Caja de Seguro Social (CSS) are reinforcing the country's hospital centers with equipment and trained personnel who attend the people affected by COVID-19 and invite citizens not to let their guard down in order to win the battle with this virus.
