Following the “Protect yourself Panama” plan, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) is participating in the expanded investigation at the Doctor Ezequiel Abadía hospital in the district of Soná in Veraguas province, while providing the personnel with protective equipment to strengthen the care both in this hospital center and at the Luis "Chicho" Fábrega hospital in Santiago.

The Vice Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre and a team of epidemiologists went to the province of Veraguas this Wednesday morning, to direct and coordinate actions with the Caja de Seguro Social and the Ministry of Security. Given the epidemiological situation in this hospital in Soná.

MINSA has received specialized equipment to supply oxygen to patients with moderate complications, which will be located at MINSA and CSS facilities such as Santo Tomás Hospital, the Ngäbe Buglé region and Bocas del Toro.

The National Government thanks health professionals, especially the nurses, technicians, laboratory workers and workers of both MINSA and CSS medical centers, for their selfless work for the country.
