NOTE: This fee applies only to those cases where the scientist must perform research work during night. Will be applied on a case-by-case basis.
Graduate students are usually exempted from crane use fees. Fees are negotiable for long-term projects for more than one year. Please contact CranesBooking@si.edu
Crane users must have the standard research and collection permits required by the Government of Panama of all investigators (apply on-line). Crane users also receive services from STRI's central administration (mail, computer access, etc.) and are subject to standard STRI users fees (fee schedule). These user fees are waived for Panamanian citizens.
